ROBOTERRA's CEO Yao Zhang honored as 2016 Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum
(Santa Clara, March 16, 2016) ROBOTERRA's CEO Yao Zhang is honored as 2016 Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum.
Yao Zhang, a 32-year-old education entrepreneur, made the list with 120 most innovative, enterprising and socially minded men and women under the age of 40 in the world. Young Global Leaders is an honor bestowed by World Economic Forum, awarding most distinguished leaders who are pushing boundaries and rethinking the world around them.
This recognition is for her commitment and contribution to robotics education. "Yao has introduced robotics within education, through the use of colorful robotics learning kits designed for the beginner. " Said the Young Global Leader committee.
Yao Zhang received her undergraduate degree in Beijing at the Central University of Finance and Economics. She holds a Master's degree in Education Economics from Columbia University Teachers College, where she was enrolled in the doctoral program in economics and education. Before she founded ROBOTERRA in 2014, Yao was a co-founder of a company that coordinates study-abroad opportunities in rural China.
